There are many reasons why Peter Springsteel loves being an architect:

  • Getting to know his clients and guiding their hopes and expectations to a gratifying finish.
  • Enjoying the dynamic energy of teamwork and shared vision.
  • Teaching clients hungry for knowledge about new building, energy and green technologies.
  • Clarifying and refining client’s myriad, unending choices so they stay focused and make wise selections.

It’s a win:win collaboration he relishes and loyal clients appreciate. And by working directly with clients from start to finish, Peter secures their confidence and ensures a rewarding experience for all.

Before establishing his own firm in 1991, Peter spent eight years honing his professional skills in all aspects of design and project management within the residential, light commercial, and mid- and high-rise residential and commercial sectors.

He completed his Pre-Architecture Program with the New Jersey Institute of Technology (1977) and earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College in 1983.

Peter holds an NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) Certificate, is insured and retains professional licenses in Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York. He’s a board member of the Mystic Arts Center and HOPE, Inc.; he also provides pro-bono design services for HOPE’s New London, Connecticut area affordable housing clients.

Peter lives in a self-designed 1830’s style home that sits comfortably among its period home neighbors in beautiful Mystic, Connecticut.
